America Photos
My trip to America took place between July 2nd and October 8th, 2001. The trip lasted 99 days, a little more than 3 months. In a few days
it will be 8 years since my flight from Israel to Chicago, where I started my trip. I took pictures with the first camera I ever had, a
fully automatic Minolta. I wrote a log in Hebrew. I haven't translated it to English yet. Hebrew speakers who are interested to read the
log can write to me to david@davidstern.co.il. Following are some of the photos I took there

Varna Dolphinarium
This video includes two shots taken in the dolphinarium in Varna, Bulgaria, two weeks ago. In the first shot, the
trainer is shaking hands with the dolphins. In the second shot, he is playing volleyball with them.
Varna, Bulgaria
align="right" border="5" style="border-color:White;" />Varna is the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and in Northern Bulgaria,
third-largest in Bulgaria after Sofia and Plovdiv, and 78th-largest in the European Union, with a population of
353,292. 420,000 people live in the metro area according to official data.
Commonly referred to as the marine (or summer) capital of Bulgaria, Varna is a major tourist destination, business
and university centre, seaport, and headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy and merchant marine, as well as the centre of
Varna Province and Bulgaria's North-Eastern planning region (NUTS II), comprising also the provinces of Dobrich,
Shumen, and Targovishte.
In April 2008, Varna was designated seat of the Black Sea Euro-Region (a new regional organization, not identical to
the Black Sea Euroregion), by the Council of Europe.

Catalunya is an Autonomous Community in northeast Spain. Its capital city is Barcelona. I have toured Catalunya on
2003, concentrating in Barcelona, Costa Brava and the surroundings. Following are selected photographs I took there:

Between Passover and the Holocaust Memorial Day
After the Exodus, when the people of Israel got free of the slavery in Egypt, they traveled 40 years in
the Sinai desert. What for? So the generation would change. The generation which entered the land of
Israel was born free. They knew about the slavery only from stories told by their parents.
From Slavery to Freedom
In the past, between the 15th and the 13th centuries B.C., the people of Israel were slaves in Egypt. They
were forced to work hard and to suffer. They were subjected to the craziness of the Pharaohs, which had no
mercy on the slaves.
Electronic Blues
Inspired by the Blues and technicly creating electronic music, I created "Electronic Blues" as a
combination between genres. As opposed to friends of mine who claim that blues pieces and songs allways
sound the same, I try my own ideas on the Blues style.

Bental Mountain
align="right" border="5" style="border-color:White;" />Bental Mountain is part of an extinguished volcano in the north east of the Golan Heights in Israel,
which height is is 1171 meters above sea level. The other part of the volcano is called Avital Mountain.
Ahuzat Bar
align="right" border="5" style="border-color:White;" />On the edge of Moshav Sha'al in the northern Golan Heights settles, like an oasis, a place of beauty
called "Ahuzat Bar". In a charming garden you will find a place to eat, sleep and purchase from a variety
of ornamental objects.

A couple of years ago I've read a story in the newspaper about a couple who sailed in a yacht
in the Atlantic Ocean. At a certain moment, a cow fell from an airplane flying above them straight
on the woman and killed her.

Crater Lake
align="right" border="5" style="border-color:White;" />Some of my best photographs were taken at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon, USA.
It is one of the prettiest places I've seen in the USA and one of the prettiest I've seen at all.
June
Listen to my music piece called "June". It was written on June 12, 1999. You probably guess how it has got its name.
"June" is composed as a Blues piece, and was originally played in a 12/8 Blues style.
The current version was recorded a couple of years after the first.
