Blackberry Spy Software - Mobile Spy

Is It Wrong to Monitor Your Own Family? Implications of the Use of Spy Software for the BlackBerry

It seems
like everyone wants a BlackBerry these days. Kids think it’s “cool,” and teens
won’t stop bugging their parents until they get one. And because it’s so
popular, developers have come up with more and more applications for it.

Blackberry Spy Software

One of the
latest ones that is quickly gaining both supporters and detractors is spy
software for the BlackBerry. In case you haven’t heard about spy software for
the Blackberry, it’s an application that anyone can buy online and install it
on a BlackBerry in order to monitor the activity of the phone. This includes
gaining access to the call history, the content of the text messages, the
location of the BlackBerry on a map at any time, and even eavesdropping on
calls from selected numbers.

In addition
to doing all these, spy software for the BlackBerry is undetectable. Only the
person that installed it on the phone knows about it. Any other person, and
specially the user, will ignore that the phone is being monitored. There is no
extra function on the phone’s menus, no extra icons, or any other sign that
will let anyone know that the phone has spy software on it.

Of course,
this leads to the question: is it ethical? It might be easy to say no, it
isn’t. However, there are situations where some people think that spy software
for the BlackBerry is ethical or at least the best option there is. This will
sound truer to you if you are a parent and you worry that your child might be
in danger in today’s world.

Kids are
exposed to more dangers nowadays than when we were children. In the 60’s, drugs
were used by hippies in concerts, not sold on primary schools. Children got
lost, not kidnapped and murdered. And the news that we see everyday only feed
our fears and worries.

Moreover,
teens can get in situations that are more than they can handle, like
alcoholism, drug use, teen pregnancy, bullying, depression, etc. To make matter
worse, they usually aren’t willing to discuss these with their parents.

Moral
discussions, where you have to decide right from wrong are always subjective,
so it’s not easy to take a definite stand. What is more ethical? To respect the
privacy of your children or to read his messages to see if he is into drugs?

I don’t
think we can reach a consensus on the use of BlackBerry spy software.
Instead each parent has to decide whether to use it or not considering the
risks that his or her kids are going through.

Why Would Anyone Use BlackBerry Spy Software?

Whenever we hear the word spy, we think of
searching for secrets and information that are hidden. We also think of an evil
person who wants to manipulate others. Some people tend to think of a Big
Brother theme, where people are being watched and observed by others (either as
in the somber 1984 novel version or as in the more cheerful reality TV show
version).

That is why many people get turned off at
the mention of BlackBerry spy software. They think it’s a tool that allows
unethical people to spy on the private lives or others and they immediately
condem the technology.

What many people don’t know is that
BlackBerry spy software (like most technologies) can be used to protect others
as well. Technology is not evil or good per se. It depends on what it is
applied to. For example, a gun can be used to kill or steal when used by
criminals, but it can also be used to protect, when used by a policeman.

BlackBerry spy software is no different.
It’s certanly not desireable to have people that use it to spy on things that
aren’t their business, but when used correctly, it has the potential to save
lives.

If you are wondering how BlackBerry spy
software can be used to protect and save lives, then you must not be a parent. A
parent of a child or a teenager always worries about them when they arrive late
or can’t be found. Of course, a parent can always call the BlackBerry and any
responsible person would answer in order to put the mind of the parent at ease.
However, children and teens aren’t exactly responsible persons and they might
be too excited about something to answer the phone. Moreover, if they are doing
something they shouldn’t be doing (like skipping classes), then they certainly
won’t answer the phone, even if they hear it.

This is where BlackBerry spy software shows
its usefulness. If the parent has bought the software and installed it in the kid’s
BlackBerry, he or she can know its location at any time. In an extreme case
that a child dissapears from some hours, the parent can easily find out if he
or she is at a friend’s house, the mall, or in an area where he or she might be
in danger. Either way, the parent will either feel better or take the necessary
actions to find out his or her kid before something happens. And as you know,
the first hours after a child or teen has dissapeared are the most important
ones. In this way, the software can be a life saver.

Can It Really Spy a Smartphone?By now, you must have heard of Spybubble, a
smartphone application that is becoming more and more popular each day. However,
many people still wonder, can it really mobile spy software? The short answer is
“yes, it can.” However, for those of you who haven’t heard of it or don’t know
exactly what it does, this review will explain its basic features and
advantages.

Let’s start with how you get it, which is
very simple. Spybubble can be purchased from its website: spybubble.com, and
then downloaded into a smartphone that you own. You then create a username and
a password that you need to log into the website and look at the activity of
the phone. It’s that simple. The smartphone will give no indication that
Spybubble is running on it, such as icons, logos, beeps, messages, etc.

Once installed, you get access to the full
features of the application. Here’s a breakdown of its features:

  • Call Tracking. Spybubble lets you track the calls that are made
or received by the smartphone. With your username and password, you’ll be
able to get access to a log that shows the number or calls made or
received, the duration of said calls, and most importantly, the numbers
which have called or been called by the smartphone. Also, if a name has
been assigned to a number by the user in the phone’s memory, you’ll be
able to see it, making it much easier to identify the caller.
  • Access to Text Message Contents: Similarly, Spybubble will let
you read any text message that is sent or received by the smartphone. In
addition to the content, you’ll also be able to see any pertinent
information regarding the message, such as the time the message was sent
or received and the number from which it was sent or received. As with
calls, you can also see any name that has been assigned to a number that
sent or received a text message. There are some people that erase their
messages as soon as they read them or send them, but because messages get
registered in the log as soon as it is created, you can still read them even
if they are erased from the smartphone.

  • Phone Location Tracking. With Spybubble, you can always know
where the phone (and the user of the phone) is. The software makes the
location of the phone available through Google Maps, which you can also
    access from the Spybubble website.

  • Remote Call Listening. Spybubble will let you listen to calls
from a number that you select and enter in the system. If a call or made
to or received from the number you selected, your own mobile (not the
mobile with Spybubble installed on it) will automatically receive a text
message telling you that the number has been contacted. If you call the
mobile that has the Spybubble software installed on at that moment, you’ll
be able to listen to the call.

Now, based on these features, there three
main groups that benefit from Spybubble.

a) Parents. In my opinion, this is the
group that benefits the most of Spybubble, since it allows them to protect
their children. In some cases, giving your child a smartphone with Spybubble
installed on it can mean saving him or her from a dangerous situation.

For example, there’s no need to ask your
teenager kids anymore where they will be (a practice that they consider
invasive and restricting anyway). Just log into the Spybubble website and see
if they’re in the school or at their best friend’s house, like they said they
would be. However, the real protection comes when your child disappears, or God
forbids, is kidnapped. If you teach your child to always keep their smartphone
with them and never surrender it unless it’s necessary for their safety, you’ll
have a tracking device that will show you where he or she is or at least where
to start looking.

Also, sometimes children and teenagers get
into serious problems but refuse to share them with their parents because they
are embarrassed, afraid of being punished, or intimidated by bullies or
criminals. By reading their text messages, you can find if your child has a
problem with drugs, anorexia, bulimia, alcoholism, or unwanted pregnancy. Sometimes
the problem comes from an external source, like a bully or a drug dealer that
intimidates your son into silence. In any case, you really want to find out and
do something about it.

b) Employers who give smartphones to their
employees (and pay for them). While most people think that the most common
practical application for this group would be to prevent company spying and
employees giving secrets away, the truth is much less spectacular: to control
expenses and employee attendance.

You see, when an employer gives a smartphone to one of his employees, he expects him to use it for company
related purposes, such as calling clients. However, the temptation to make a
long distance call to friend or relative and pass it as a client call is big.
Also, it is also tempting to call in sick when you’re actually at the ball game
or visiting some friends. Both of these problems can be detected and corrected
with the use of Spybubble.

In fact, it is much cheaper than you think.
You don’t have to install Spybubble on every mobile phone that your company
owns. All you need to do is install it on the phones of a few problematic
employees. The moment one is caught, all employees will think they’re being
monitored.

c) People who think they are being cheated
on by their spouse. As you can imagine, the features of Spybubble make it
extremely easy to find out whether they are being cheated on or just paranoid.

So there you go, those are the main
features of Spybubble and the groups that receive the most benefits of it. I
hope this review clarified you what Spybubble does and what it doesn’t.

  1. I think there is nothing wrong with that as long as you do it for the safety of your own family. It is better to monitor them before something goes wrong to your family.
